US intelligence warns of impending Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure

US intelligence has data on impending Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure and government facilities in Ukraine, US media reported , citing officials.

“We have information that Russia will intensify efforts to strike civilian infrastructure and government facilities in Ukraine in the coming days. Given Russia's track record in Ukraine, we are concerned about the continued threat that Russian strikes pose to civilians and civilian infrastructure," the US official said in a statement.

The State Department again called on US citizens to immediately leave the territory of Ukraine due to the threat of shelling.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine asked citizens to be especially careful on the Independence Day of Ukraine. In particular, Andrey Yusov, a representative of the GUR, stated:

“There is an increased threat of missile strikes and other provocations, both inside the country and outside. Russia and the Putin regime attacked the independence of Ukraine. They are really obsessed with dates and symbols, so it would be logical to play it safe and be prepared for the fact that Independence Day will be attacked.

Today (August 23) Ukraine celebrates the National Flag Day, and on the 24th - Independence Day.
