The Russian authorities want to close the Sokhnut Jewish agency in the Russian Federation, which helps those who repatriate to Israel. The conversations of the agency’s employees in Moscow were tapped by the FSB, and the Ministry of Justice went to court demanding the liquidation of Sokhnut. Israeli political scientist, public figure, former diplomat Mikhail Pellivert, in an interview with The Insider, noted that the Sokhnut would become a victim in a big political chess game, pressure on the organization is a hint to Israel that it is not worth supporting Ukraine with weapons.
