At least 382 children killed during war in Ukraine – Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine

As a result of Russia's armed aggression in Ukraine, at least 382 children were killed and about 740 were injured. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and emphasizes that the data is not final, as the count of victims continues in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Most children were affected in:

  • Donetsk - 388,
  • Kharkiv - 204,
  • Kievskaya - 116,
  • Nikolaevskaya - 71,
  • Chernihiv - 68,
  • Luhansk - 61,
  • Kherson - 55,
  • Zaporozhye regions - 46.

The Prosecutor General's Office also reports the latest known cases. On September 3, as a result of a Russian attack on Zelenodolsk, Dnepropetrovsk region, a 9-year-old boy was killed.

On the same day, the Russian military carried out artillery shelling from multiple launch rocket systems using cluster munitions at Visunsk, Mykolaiv region. An 8-year-old boy died, three children aged 9, 7 and 11 were injured.

Also, as a result of Russian shelling, 2328 educational institutions of Ukraine were damaged, of which 289 were completely destroyed.
