Death toll from Russian missile attack on railway station in Dnepropetrovsk region rises to 25

The death toll from a Russian missile attack on the Chaplino railway station in the Dnipropetrovsk region has risen to 25. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko.

Two children were among the dead, he said. One of them is an 11-year-old boy, he died under the rubble of the house. Another 6-year-old child - during a fire in a car near the station. Also, according to Tymoshenko, 31 people were injured.

The Russian military attacked Chaplino on the evening of 24 August. Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during a speech at the UN Security Council.

Throughout the second half of the summer, the Russian army regularly attacks the Dnepropetrovsk region. From the very first day of the war, Russia has been assuring that it is only attacking Ukrainian military facilities, but in reality it is shelling civilian infrastructure on a daily basis. So, on July 15, as a result of a missile attack on the Dnieper, four people were killed , 16 were injured, and another 7 people ended up in the hospital. On the night of 9 to 10, the Russian military fired on Marganets and the Mirovskaya bulk of the Nikopol region. As a result, 11 people died and 13 were injured.
