Several Russian cinemas show films in pirated Jaskier dubbing without Jaskier’s permission

Several Russian cinemas have begun showing Jurassic World: Dominance and Elvis in pirate dubbed by Jaskier. Jaskier themselves were not asked for permission. DTF writes about it.

Pirate dubbed films are shown at the Hummingbird cinema in Selyatino near Moscow, Lodz from Ivanovo, Stolichny from Vladikavkaz, and an unnamed cinema in Yekaterinburg. As DTF points out, they simply download the voiced version from the internet. Cinema representatives do not respond to Jaskier's messages.

Jaskier Studios said they are sympathetic to the problems of the film industry, but believe that cinemas could sponsor voice acting. “Cinema theaters that play our voice acting do not get in touch, do not respond to letters and generally pretend that it is not them ... We are very glad that they liked the dubbing, but are upset that it is broadcast without our knowledge,” said studio representative in conversation with DTF.

The Łódź employee did not answer The Insider's question about whether the cinema was showing Jurassic World: Dominance in a pirated voiceover and hung up. The Hummingbird cinema confirmed that they are showing the film in a pirated dub.

In early August, the Russian combined network of cinemas "Cinema Park" and "Formula Kino" announced the launch of the action "Kinoprodukt". Its essence is to show Hollywood films, despite the withdrawal of American film studios from the Russian market. Foreign films were planned to be screened as part of a "free pre-screening service" prior to the main screening. As a result, the action was canceled, as "the board of directors of the company did not agree on its holding."
