15 killed in Russian missile attack on railway station in Dnepropetrovsk region – Zelensky

The Russian military launched a missile attack on the Chaplino railway station in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result of the shelling, 15 people were killed, about 50 were injured. Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about this during a speech at the UN Security Council.

“Four passenger cars are on fire. At least 15 people were killed, about 50 were injured. Rescuers are working, but, unfortunately, the death toll may still increase. This is how Russia prepared for the meeting of the UN Security Council,” the President of Ukraine said.

Earlier, the authorities of Ukraine and the Dnepropetrovsk region, in particular, did not report a strike on the station.

Throughout July and August, Russia regularly shells the Dnepropetrovsk region. So, on the night of August 3-4, the Russian military fired twice at Nikopol with 60 Grad rockets. On July 15, as a result of a missile attack on the Dnieper, four people were killed , 16 were injured, and another 7 people ended up in the hospital. On the night of 9 to 10, the Russian military fired on Marganets and the Mirovskaya bulk of the Nikopol region. As a result, 11 people died and 13 were injured.
