On the territory of military unit 52116 (4th air defense division) in Dolgoprudny in the Moscow region, a fire broke out at night, reports Baza.
According to the channel, a wooden building in which the barracks were located was on fire. There were conscripts and staff in the building at that moment, everyone was evacuated. Video of the fire has been posted online.
By 6:00 AM, TASS, citing the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, reported that the fire had been extinguished, and there was no information about the victims.
On the forums of conscripts, this military unit is called an assembly point, in which all conscripts are temporarily. The soldiers write that recruits are sent there to take the oath, and then they are sent to other units. Also, conscripts talk about the mess, rudeness and indifference of "seconded civilian personnel."
Fires in Russian military commissariats and military units have become more frequent since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. On May 12, in a military unit in the Khabarovsk Territory , an explosion occurred in a gunpowder depot, one person died, seven were injured.
Also, against the background of rumors about mobilization, military registration and enlistment offices were set on fire. The last known case occurred on the night of June 24: Molotov cocktails were thrown at buildings in Belgorod and Perm. Prior to this, the military enlistment office was set on fire on May 21: a Molotov cocktail was thrown at the recruiting station in the village of Igra in Udmurtia. On the night of May 20, the building of the military registration and enlistment office in the city of Zheleznogorsk-Ilimsky, Irkutsk Region, was fired from pneumatic weapons. On suspicion of involvement in this shooting, the security forces detained a resident of Angarsk Maxim Smolin.
The first arson of a military registration and enlistment office during the war took place in Lukhovitsy, Moscow Region. There, on February 28, a 21-year-old local resident broke windows in the building and threw Molotov cocktail bottles inside. In addition, the gates of the military commissariat were painted in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, and “a provocative record was left about the special operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” the media wrote. The suspect was detained on March 8, and on the 13th he managed to escape from the police station. In the evening of the same day he was detained again. A criminal case has been initiated against a local resident under Art. 214 of the Criminal Code (vandalism). He faces a sentence of three years in prison.
There were similar attempts to set fire to military enlistment offices in Omsk , Balashikha, Yaroslavl, Nizhnevartovsk , Voronezh, Berezovsky, Shuya, Gukovo, Volgograd , the settlements of Zubova Polyana in Mordovia and Pronsk in the Ryazan region. In Penza and Ivanovo, unused buildings were burning, in which the commissariats were located in the past. On the night of May 8, in Cherepovets, two 16-year-olds threw Molotov cocktails into the building of the military enlistment office. The suspects were later arrested.
