The Patreon service, which allows content authors to receive payment from subscribers for it, is blocked in Russia. It is reported by Roskomsvoboda. According to the project, Roskomnadzor tried to block the DOXA editorial statement, which was published on Patreon on February 25. Since the blocking is carried out over HTTPS, the entire site that uses this protocol has become unavailable.
The statement, which Roskomnadzor entered into the register of banned on August 6, said that DOXA journalists oppose the conduct of a “special military operation” on the territory of Ukraine.
Roskomsvoboda also reports that there are problems with access to the Grammarly service, which helps to correctly write texts in English. The page with the statement of the service that it was suspending its work on the territory of the Russian Federation and Belarus was subjected to censorship.
Similar to the situation with Patreon, when blocking one page, the RKN blocked the entire service. The same happens with another 102 sites. In particular, "Arguments and Facts in Ukraine", links to Archivach, "European Truth", Site.ua, Sport.ua are blocked. With Grammarly, 17 more sites are blocked by “mask”, the project reports.
