18 people died after a missile attack on the Odessa region – Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko

18 people, including two children, were killed after a rocket attack in the Odessa region. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko. The head of the Odessa OVA Maxim Marchenko also reports 18 dead. One of the rockets hit a nine-story house in the village of Sergeevka, Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district.

Another 31 people were injured, including four children and a pregnant woman. 8 people were rescued from the rubble, including 3 children. Rescue work continues.

According to the State Emergency Service (GSChS), on July 1, at about 01:00 am, a nine-story residential building was partially destroyed as a result of a missile strike in the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district. After that, a store attached to it caught fire.

The operational command "South" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine specified that Tu-22 aircraft launched a missile attack, three Kh-22 missiles hit a 9-story residential building and two recreation centers.

On June 27, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russian missiles had hit a shopping center in Kremenchug with more than a thousand people in the building. As the correspondent of The Insider specified, the shopping center is located across the street from the Kredmash plant, which produces equipment for the production of asphalt concrete and asphalt. In total, Russia fired three missiles, two of them hit the shopping center, the third hit the factory. According to the head of the Poltava OVA Dmitry Lunin, by the morning of June 28, it was known about the death of 18 civilians who were in the shopping center at the time of the explosion.

At the same time, Russia, represented by the official representative of the country's Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova , continues to deny its involvement in the deaths, calling Kiev's accusations "fake". The Ministry of Defense confirmed the strike on Kremenchuk, but the department claimed that Russia fired at the ammunition depot, the shopping center “did not function,” and the fire started due to “the detonation of ammunition stored nearby at the plant.” Russian President Vladimir Putin also commented on the strike on the shopping center: “Yes, there was no terrorist attack, no explosion. I was here, I don't know [details]. I know, and we have shown this many times from drones when they place weapons, strike systems, artillery, heavy equipment in residential areas, and elsewhere.”
