The US Army will donate one of its two Boston Dynamics Spot robot dogs to Ukraine to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) clear mines and other munitions in Ukraine. This was reported by Foreign Policy, citing sources familiar with the deal.

During trial tests, Spot has already established itself as an "effective demining assistant," the newspaper writes.

"Spot can help move unexploded ordnance to safety, allowing it to detonate safely away from civilians," the publication says.
