Actor Ben Stiller met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky

American actor and UN Goodwill Ambassador Ben Stiller, who arrived in Ukraine, met with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“You are my hero,” he told the Ukrainian leader. Today, Stiller also visited the city of Irpin and the village of Makarov, Buchansky district.


“We appreciate that you are here at this difficult time for our country,” the Office of the President said in a statement.

The Hollywood actor arrived in Ukraine on July 19, he was noticed in Lviv in a souvenir shop and at the monument to Taras Shevchenko.

Earlier it became known that Ben Stiller came to help Ukrainian refugees in Poland. Volunteer Oleksandr from a refugee camp in Przemysl told The Insider.

In May, U2 band members Bono and The Edge came to Kiev and staged a concert in the subway. Together with the Ukrainian group "Antitelya" and the Ukrainian military, they sang the song "Stand by Me" with the words "Stand by Ukraine". In April, a concert was held in Warsaw as part of a charity marathon in support of Ukraine, during which several billion dollars have already been raised. Then U2 soloist Bono recorded the song "Walk on Ukraine". Prior to that, he dedicated a poem to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

At the end of April, actress Angelina Jolie visited Ukraine.
