Russia is preparing a new draft law on the procedure for entry, exit and stay of foreigners. This, according to TASS, was stated by Deputy Head of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting of the Security Council commission on migration policy.
According to him, we are talking about the material re-equipment of migration services, as well as about "stopping serious threats caused by the current situation."
“Entry control, the rules regarding the stay of migrants on the territory of our country are an integral part of the security regime on the territory of our state. We are working in completely different conditions than a few years ago, and this must be borne in mind, ”TASS quotes Medvedev.
In March, the Russian Interior Ministry reported that over the past two years it had expelled more than 59,000 foreign citizens from the country. As a representative of the department said in a conversation with TASS, most often the expulsion occurs due to the commission of administrative offenses by foreigners in the field of migration, as well as after release from places of detention.
