The daughter of the “ideologist of the Russian world” Alexander Dugin, Daria, who died in a car explosion in the Moscow region, was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage. The decree was signed by President Vladimir Putin. The document was published on the Kremlin website.
“For courage and dedication shown in the performance of professional duty, to award the Order of Courage to Daria Alexandrovna Dugin, a correspondent for the non-public joint-stock company Tsargrad Media, Moscow (posthumously),” the decree says.
On August 22, the propagandist philosopher Dugin made his first address after the murder of his daughter. He stated that the attack was carried out by the "Nazi Ukrainian regime" and that the Russian people could not be broken even by such "unbearable blows."
“Our hearts yearn for more than just revenge or retribution. It's too small, not in Russian. We only need our Victory. My daughter laid her maiden life on her altar. So win, please!” - called Alexander Dugin.
The car of Dugin's daughter exploded in the Moscow region on August 21. On this day, the publicist Dugin and his daughter were returning from the Tradition festival near Moscow at the Zakharovo estate. At the time of the explosion, only Daria was in the car, she died on the spot. Dugin's acquaintances had previously told the media that he himself was supposed to drive in the car, but at the last moment he changed his mind and moved to another car.
The Russian FSB said that the murder of Darya Dugina in the Moscow region was carried out by Ukrainian special services.
According to the FSB, the perpetrator of the murder of Dugina is a citizen of Ukraine Vovk Natalya Pavlovna, born in 1979, who disappeared after the crime in Estonia. It is also noted that Vovk arrived in Russia on July 23, 2022, along with her 12-year-old daughter (Shaban Sofia Mikhailovna).
On August 22, the Russian Federal Security Service published a video showing Natalya Vovk entering Russia with her daughter. The video also contains footage of her entering the entrance of the house where Dugina lived, and then shows the moment when Vovk leaves for Estonia. In addition, the FSB published three pictures from a surveillance camera, from which, according to the intelligence service, it is clear that the plates of Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the unrecognized DPR were used on the car. The video was published by Russian state media and Telegram channels.
Russian state media reported that Vovk might be a member of the Azov Battalion and posted a photo of an ID allegedly found by the FSB.
The press service of the National Guard of Ukraine stated that Natalya Vovk never served in Azov, and Russian propagandists are trying to justify the decision to recognize the Azov unit as a terrorist organization with this fake.
Adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anton Gerashchenko, said that the certificate of the serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine Natalia Vovk, who in Russia is called the perpetrator of the murder of Daria Dugina, is a fake. As confirmation of his words, Gerashchenko posted the certificate of Margarita Simonyan, a NSU soldier.
Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said that Ukraine was not involved in the death of Dugina, "because Ukraine is not a criminal state, which is the Russian Federation."
Former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev said on August 21 that activists of the "National Republican Army" were behind the explosion of Dugina's car.
