The former mayor of Krasnodar Andrey Alekseenko, who resigned the day before, was officially appointed chairman of the "Council of Ministers" of the Kharkiv region. The decree on this was published in his Telegram channel by political scientist Andrei Gusiy.
Prior to this, Alekseenko voluntarily resigned as mayor of Krasnodar, after Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov announced his possible appointment to the post of chairman of the "Council of Ministers" of the Kharkov region.
Andrey Alekseenko has headed Krasnodar since November 2021. A month after his appointment to this position, a criminal case was opened against him on a large-scale bribe received in 2018. Then he was the first deputy governor of the Krasnodar Territory. According to investigators, through an intermediary, Alekseenko received a bribe in the form of a gun worth 1.6 million rubles for issuing an expert opinion regarding an apartment building in the Kuban district of Krasnodar.
