Team Spirit of Russians and Ukrainians won the Dota 2 tournament in the USA

The Team Spirit team, which includes esportsmen from Russia and Ukraine, won the PGL Arlington Major 2022 Dota 2 tournament in the USA, defeating the PSG.LGD team from China with a score of 3:1. This is stated on the website Сybersport.ru.

Team Spirit received $200,000, PSG.LGD — $100,000, the total prize pool was $500,000, and the remaining funds were distributed among the rest of the participants. Also, thanks to the victory, the team qualified for the 11th Dota 2 World Championship The International 2022, which will be held in October.

The team is represented by Russians Alexander Khertek (Torontotokyo), Magomed Khalilov (Collapse) and Yaroslav Naydenov (Miposhka), as well as Ukrainians Ilya Mulyarchuk (Yatoro) and Miroslav Kolpakov (Mira).

In April, the Russian esports team Virtus.pro was disqualified during the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Dota 2 tournament due to player Ivan Moskalenko, who drew the letter Z on the in-game mini-map during an official match. Moskalenko himself stated that as soon as he "unconsciously" drew a symbol, he immediately began to cover it up.
