In the occupied cities of the Luhansk region, the military of the Russian Federation exchange food from pensioners for information about men of military age – the head of the OVA

In the Russian-occupied cities of the Lugansk region of Ukraine, the Russian military, in exchange for food, learn from pensioners information about men of military age. This was announced by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration (OVA) Sergei Gaidai.

According to him, they ingratiate themselves with pensioners while walking around high-rise buildings. In exchange for the necessary information, older people are offered not only food, but also small amounts of money.

“They leave the military on duty at the closed entrances, who are waiting for one of the male residents to either leave or try to return home,” writes Gaidai.

According to him, the Russian military, who are engaged in forced conscription, move around the cities exclusively in balaclavas, "so that neighbors and acquaintances, whom they hunt, do not recognize."

The Russian authorities are conducting covert mobilization not only in the Lugansk region. In early August, residents of Russian-occupied Mariupol began to receive SMS in which they were invited to take part in the war on the side of Russia. Those who wish are entitled to a monetary allowance in the amount of 200-300 thousand rubles. The Mariupol City Council emphasizes that in reality people are simply rounded up and sent to the front, "as it was done in Donetsk."
