The court upheld the arrest of the Novosibirsk scientist Kolker, who died in a pre-trial detention center

The Novosibirsk Regional Court upheld the decision of the Soviet District Court of Novosibirsk on the arrest of physicist Dmitry Kolker in the case of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code). It is reported by TASS.

The body of the scientist is still in Moscow, he was not given to his relatives due to the lack of Kolker's passport, which is also not given to his relatives. The Kolker family filed complaints with the Federal Penitentiary Service and the Investigative Committee to give them the documents and the body. Earlier, the scientist's son said that the family would have to transport the body to Novosibirsk from Moscow at their own expense.

Pavel Chikov said on his Telegram channel that earlier the court had pointed out the absence of medical documents preventing detention. At the same time, these documents are in the case file.

Chikov cites a dialogue in court between the investigator and Kolker:

Investigator: I ask you to choose a measure of restraint until 08/29/2022

Kolker: Do you think I will live until 08/29/2022?

Investigator: In the case file there are certificates from doctors, from which it is clear that you can participate in investigative actions, I am more than sure that you will live.
