At least 377 children have died in Ukraine since the beginning of the war – Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine

Since the beginning of the war, at least 377 children have died in Ukraine, and more than 733 have been injured, according to the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine. This is not final data, as the count of victims continues in the areas of active hostilities, as well as in the occupied and liberated territories of Ukraine.

The largest number of victims among children was recorded in:

  • Donetsk - 388
  • Kharkiv - 202
  • Kievskaya - 116
  • Chernihiv - 68
  • Nikolaevskaya - 67
  • Luhansk - 61
  • Kherson - 55
  • Zaporozhye regions - 42.

The last recorded case reported by the Prosecutor General's Office is the death of a 17-year-old teenager from Orekhov, Zaporozhye region. He died on August 25 as a result of Russian shelling.

Also, due to Russian bombing and shelling, 2,328 educational institutions in Ukraine were damaged, 289 of which were completely destroyed.
