The Russian Guard reported on the detention of employees of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, who allegedly collaborated with the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Russian Guard detained two employees of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, they are accused of collaborating with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports .

In July, Energoatom of Ukraine reported that Andriy Goncharuk, a ZNPP hydroshop diver, died after being tortured by the Russian military, “forcing him to come up with a justification for the need to drain the cooling pools.” According to the mayor of Energodar, Dmitry Orlov, on his Telegram channel, Goncharuk was required to dive into the spray pool of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, after refusing he was beaten and fell into a coma. The splash pool is an open reservoir required for cooling the recirculating water.

Russian troops have been occupying the Zaporizhia NPP since March. From time to time it is shelled, Russia and Ukraine accuse each other of shelling. It was also reported that Russian troops stockpiled ammunition at the nuclear power plant in close proximity to the power units. In August, one of the nuclear power plant engineers told the BBC that the Russian army had placed multiple rocket launchers and other military weapons and equipment on the nuclear power plant. He also said that because of the shelling at the station, high-voltage transmission lines were damaged, and experts warn of the possibility of a nuclear accident.

The CNN TV channel confirmed the authenticity of a video posted on social networks with Russian trucks in the engine room of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. A 30-second video appeared on social networks on August 18. You can see about five trucks on it, one of them has the letter Z on it. CNN journalists found out that the video was filmed in one of the six engine rooms of the nuclear power plant. Who and when made this recording is unknown.
