A drone was shot down on approach to Sevastopol at high altitude, the city governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said, Interfax reports .

“At 18:15, air defense went off in the Verkhnesadovoe area. The object was hit. At a high altitude, so the sound was heard in different parts of the city. Previously - again a drone. We remain calm, the city is under reliable protection,” Razvozhaev said.

In the Telegram channels of Sevastopol, they write about the sounds of explosions, broken windows in houses, alarms went off in some cars. Social media users specify that the explosion was one, but heard from different parts of the city.

The last three days in Sevastopol, it was reported about the work of air defense. On August 18, the military airport "Belbek" was attacked , according to the "governor" of the city, the air defense shot down a drone. In addition, on August 9, as a result of explosions near the military airport in Novofedorovka, at least 10 Russian aircraft were destroyed .
