The husband of the ex-coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters, Chanysheva, turned to Khodorkovsky because of a new presenter who helped “destroy the opposition”

Almaz Gatin, the husband of Lilia Chanysheva, the former coordinator of the Ufa headquarters of Alexei Navalny, who is in a pre-trial detention center in the case of an extremist community, turned to Mikhail Khodorkovsky. Gatin was outraged that Rostislav Murzagulov, who is a close friend and ex-PR man of the head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, and also spoke out against Chanysheva and insulted Alexei Navalny in his statements, became one of the hosts of the new opposition show Obscene News on Khodorkovsky's Open Media channel .

Murzagulov himself said in a conversation with The Insider that in November 2021 he sent a guarantee for Chanysheva to the Supreme Court of Bashkortostan with a request to release her from the pre-trial detention center and change the preventive measure to non-custodial. Idel.Realii reported that about 200 people sent such guarantees, including public figures and activists.

The release of the new show, which Murzagulov hosts with his girlfriend Ulyana Trigubchak, was published on August 17. The presenters discussed the latest news, including the possible “escape” of Alexei Navalny, which was reported by the jailers in the report “somewhere upstairs”. At the same time, in 2019, Murzagulov insulted Navalny, calling him a “mean bastard” and “the head of a sect.”

Murzagulov emigrated from Russia to the UAE after the start of the war in Ukraine, in April of this year he announced that he was no longer a member of the Public Chamber of Bashkiria. In exile, the ex-PR man makes anti-Russian statements and criticizes the war in Ukraine.

In 2019, Murzagulov was the chairman of the board of directors of the state holding Bashinform and coordinated the information policy of the state media in the Presidential Administration. Even before Navalny's headquarters were recognized as extremist organizations, Murzagulov spoke out against Chanysheva after a scandal at public hearings on the budget in the building of the Kurultai of the republic. Then he stated that he did not have "the slightest regret" about the fact that Navalny's representatives failed to speak at the hearings (his commentary included Chanysheva). The activist was unable to comment on the draft budget of the republic for 2020-2022: the guards removed Chanysheva from the podium when she wanted to take the floor. After that, Murzagulov claimed that Navalny’s representatives “have no good goal for the country and the republic” and want to bring the situation to “an explosion, revolution, blood,” he was quoted by Kommersant.

“We are glad that she [Chanysheva] was not able to speak up and defend the rights of romantically minded people who want to arrange a bloodbath in Russia in the name of the mean bastard who leads their sect, we don’t want to defend them.”

Lilia Chanysheva was detained on November 9, 2021 after many hours of interrogation and search. The police also came with searches to more than ten oppositionists and employees of Navalny's headquarters in the Kemerovo region and Bashkiria.

Chanysheva is the first to be arrested in an “extremist” case initiated after the defeat of Navalny’s structures in 2021. Under her leadership, Navalny's headquarters in Ufa became "one of the strongest" in Russia, his supporters said. At this time, Bashkiria turned into one of the most protest regions, as the history of the successful defense of shikhan Kushtau showed.

Chanysheva was charged under five criminal articles: Part 2 of Art. 151.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (involving minors in the commission of actions that pose a danger to the life of a minor), part 4 of Art. 174 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (laundering of money or other property acquired by other persons by criminal means), part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production, storage, transportation or sale of goods and products, performance of work or provision of services that do not meet safety requirements), part 1, part 2 of Art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of an extremist community), part 1 of Art. 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (financing of extremist activities). Only under "extremist" articles she is threatened with eight-year terms of imprisonment.
