A Russian soldier was blown up by a mine in the Kursk region – ASTRA

28-year-old Andrey Volobuev, a 28-year-old soldier of the border service of military unit 2391 (in the Kursk region), was blown up by a mine near the border village of Tetkino. This is reported by ASTRA, citing sources in the medical community.

Now the Russian border guard has been hospitalized with shrapnel wounds in the Glushkov Central District Hospital.

According to the source, the soldier was injured on August 14. Under what circumstances this happened is not specified.

In the Kursk region, damage to railways and power transmission towers has recently become more frequent. On August 10, unknown people tried to undermine the Lgov-Sudzha railway, on August 9, the second support of the power line was blown up. The damaged support is located 20 km from the Kursk nuclear power plant and 100 km from the border with Ukraine. The previous similar case in the private sector of Kurchatov was reported on August 4: the distance between two damaged pillars is about 15 km.

The Kursk region has been shelled since the beginning of the war. On the night of July 2-3, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked Kursk, the city is located 130 km from the border with Ukraine. The governor of the region, Roman Starovoit, said that the main impact of the mortar shelling fell on the territory near the sugar factory in the village of Tetkino, the roofs, windows and facades of several houses were damaged.
