In the center of Yerevan, an explosion occurred in a warehouse with fireworks at the Surmalu market. According to the Armenian Ministry of Health, one person died and 26 others were injured.

Information about the explosion of pyrotechnics was confirmed to TASS by the press secretary of the Yerevan Municipality Levon Sardaryan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reports that firefighters and rescue workers are working at the scene.

Alen Simonyan, chairman of the Armenian National Assembly, said that people could still remain under the rubble.
