The territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant was again shelled, Ukraine and Russia are accused of shelling each other. The mayor of Russian-occupied Energodar, Dmitry Orlov, said on Telegram that the station had been shelled by the Russian military.

“Information has been received about another provocation by the occupiers. According to local residents, shelling is being carried out again from the area of ​​the park zone towards the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and the industrial area. The time between launch and arrival is negligible."

Volodymyr Rogov, a member of the “administration” of the Zaporozhye region established by Russia, in turn, said that Energodar and Zaporizhzhya NPP were again “shelling Ukrainian troops.”

Before that, Ukraine and Russia accused each other of shelling the ZNPP on August 11. The messages of the Ukrainian Energoatom and the pro-Russian representative of the “administration” Rogov were almost identical: they reported about “five arrivals”, grass fires and a failed “shift change” at the station.

On August 5, Russia fired at the Zaporozhye NPP several times from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), in total three “arrivals” were recorded at the plant site. At the same time, the pro-Russian authorities of the occupied Energodar accused Ukraine of shelling the ZNPP. The Ministry of Defense of Russia and the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Energoatom of Ukraine directly accuse each other of nuclear terrorism.

The Insider's sources at the ZNPP reported suspicious activity of Russian soldiers on the territory of the station. The publication also has a video at its disposal, in which Russian military trucks drive into the territory of the nuclear power plant and unload some kind of cargo. According to this source, the machine room was mined. Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, confirmed in The Insider's stream that Russia is indeed carrying out mining on the territory of the ZNPP, and also stores shells of "different capacity and different power" right in the shops.
