OSINT specialists note that the images prove serious losses of Russian aviation. According to them, at least three Su-30s and six Su-24s were destroyed. It is possible that two more Su-24s and three Su-30s were destroyed, which cannot be confirmed due to image quality.

Explosions near the military airport in Novofedorovka occurred on August 9. According to the "head" of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, one person died, at least 13 people were injured . The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that it was the detonation of ammunition in a warehouse, the department denies the fact of shelling. The New York Times published an article citing a "Ukrainian military source", which suggests that the UAF may be behind the explosions. The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believes that the Ukrainian army could have hit the airfield with Neptune anti-ship missiles, but there is no evidence for this version.
