US removes Sberbank collection agency from sanctions list

The United States has excluded Aktivbusinessconsult LLC from the sanctions list, a subsidiary of Sberbank. The company was founded in April 2013 and quickly became the market leader in collection services, according to the Zaym portal, which specializes in Russian credit sector news. Now ABK positions itself as an "innovative company, developer of advanced IT solutions."

According to the Kontur.Fokus system, PJSC Sberbank of Russia was deleted from the founders of the company, however, the amount of authorized capital has not changed since Sberbank was included in the list of founders. In April, an entry appeared in the register “on making changes not related to changes in constituent documents, based on an application,” after which AKB was excluded from the sanctions list. At the same time, as Transparency International told The Insider, Sberbank probably withdrew from the founders in April of this year, which was taken into account in the entry.

The message about the exclusion of ABK from the US sanctions list appeared in the updated list of anti-Russian restrictions on August 2. This is the only exception from the list, the rest of its defendants, on the contrary, have been added to the list. In particular, Alina Kabaeva, a number of Russian billionaires and three “heads” of the occupied regions of Ukraine appointed by Russia and the authorities of the so-called “DPR” fell under American sanctions on August 2.
