Tea brands Lipton and Brooke Bond will disappear from Russia. Ekaterra, which owns these brands, leaves the Russian Federation

By the end of the year, Lipton, Brooke Bond and Saito teas will no longer be produced in Russia. The international tea company Ekaterra, which owns these brands, will stop working in Russia. It is reported by RBC with reference to the press service of the company.

The current situation "does not allow the company to develop its business steadily," Ekaterra said.

“This means that Lipton, Saito and Brooke Bond tea brands will cease to be produced on the Russian market by the end of 2022, and shortly after that, Ekaterra will stop selling and distributing them,” the company said.

Since the end of February, hundreds of Western companies have limited their activities in the Russian market or left it completely. Many foreign companies sell their business to Russian ones, after which the new owners change the sign, and the goods remain almost the same, as happened with Tasty - and that's the point (former McDonald's).
