The authorities of Uzbekistan warned migrants about the danger of being in the war between Russia and Ukraine

The Uzbek authorities have warned migrants who go to work in Russia about the danger of ending up in a war in Ukraine. This is stated in the message of the Agency for External Labor Migration of Uzbekistan in the Telegram channel.

Officials said that through announcements on social networks inviting citizens of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan to work in Russia for high wages, they can be attracted to the zones of "conflict between Russia and Ukraine."

“In this regard, we ask our compatriots not to believe unofficial job announcements abroad.”

According to article 154-1 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, conscription for military service, security agencies, police, military justice agencies or other bodies of foreign states is punishable by restriction or imprisonment for a term of three to five years, the agency recalled.

The fact that PMC Wagner is recruiting citizens of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan for the war in Ukraine under the guise of hiring in private security companies was reported by the MediaHub YouTube channel. As the journalists found out, when trying to get a job, citizens are told that they are no longer recruiting for private security companies “due to a change in priorities”, and they are offered another job - “performing tasks in the special operation zone in Ukraine” for 240 thousand rubles a month. According to them, even people with a criminal record are taken, as long as they are not "citizens of the EU and NATO countries." For service for more than six months, they promise a simplified form of obtaining Russian citizenship. Those who agree are offered to come to the Molkino farm in the Krasnodar Territory. Back in March, the BBC Russian Service reported that Molkino may have a base and recruiting center for PMC Wagner.

Earlier, Important Stories found out that the Russian army is looking for tens of thousands of people for contract service through job search sites, most of the people are recruited into units that suffer losses in the war in Ukraine.
