The Moscow Mundep was not allowed to vote. He indicated his connection with a foreign agent, but the Ministry of Justice considered this a lie

Denis Prokuronov, a deputy of the Moscow district of Filevsky Park, was removed from registration for the elections, because, according to the election commission, he “unreasonably” called himself a person affiliated with a foreign agent.

Here is how Prokuronov himself described the situation:

“The absurdity is more enchanting than one could imagine. <...> If a person is somehow affiliated with a person performing the functions of a foreign agent, then this must be indicated everywhere. <...> Last year I worked for Civic Assistance, an organization entered in 2015 by the Ministry of Justice into the register of “organizations performing the functions of foreign agents”, that is, I am subject to the requirement - and I must indicate that I am a candidate affiliated with a person acting as a foreign agent. pointed out. The Commission made two requests to the Ministry of Justice and received two answers: The Ministry of Justice has no information that I am such an affiliate. And so - refusal to register! Because I provided information that is not true.

In his post, Prokuronov notes that “there will not be a single independent deputy left in the elections at such a pace.”

On July 19, it became known that another Mundep of the Filevsky Park district, Vadim Korovin, was arrested for 10 days for retweeting a joke about Hitler's myrrh-streaming cap. He was tried under an article on the public display of Nazi symbols, which deprives Korovin of the right to participate in any elections during the year.

In early July, Marina Litvinovich was fined under an article on displaying extremist symbols, and she is also deprived of the right to participate in elections.
