A case was opened against Navalny’s ally Leonid Volkov to justify terrorism

A case was opened against Aleksey Navalny's associate Leonid Volkov under the article on justifying terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). This was announced by the politician himself in his Telegram channel.

“For the post that Putin is now the number 1 terrorist in the world and you need to deal with him accordingly. Thanks to the FSB for popularizing this idea!” Volkov wrote.

Previously, Leonid Volkov headed the Navalny Headquarters public movement. In January 2021, the politician was put on the federal wanted list under the article on involving minors in rallies (clauses “a, c”, part 2, article 151.2 of the Criminal Code). In May 2022, Volkov and other associates of Navalny — Lyubov Sobol, Ivan Zhdanov, and lawyer Vyacheslav Gimadi — were arrested in absentia on charges of fraud and the creation of an “extremist” community.
