Russia on July 11 launched rocket attacks on Kharkov, at the moment it is known about 16 wounded and three dead. This was announced by the deputy head of Zelensky's office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, in his Telegram channel.
“The enemy again launched rocket attacks on the city. It is preliminary known about 16 wounded and 3 dead. Information is being updated, rescue and emergency services are working on the spot.”
According to the head of the regional military administration (OVA), Oleg Sinegubov, Russia launched strikes with preliminary multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Ukrainian journalist Andrey Tsaplienko published a video of the aftermath of the strike on his Telegram channel, as well as a photo of the destroyed Kharkov school.
The Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations (GSChS) in the Kharkiv region also published photos and videos with destroyed residential buildings. According to the State Emergency Service, 11 fires caused by shelling broke out in the region during the day: five in Chuguevsky, five in Izyum and one in Bogodukhovsky districts. A residential building, outbuildings, industrial buildings, a car, a landfill and grass were on fire. At night, Kharkiv was subjected to rocket attacks three times, the service clarifies. One rocket hit a six-story residential building in the Osnovyansky district, as a result, the entrance of the building was completely destroyed. Two more rockets hit the courtyard next to the warehouse in the Osnovyansky district and the school building in the Slobodsky district of the city.
Updated: The Russian Defense Ministry has confirmed strikes against the city of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk region and Kharkov. However, the department claims that the temporary deployment point of the 118th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed in Chasovoy Yar. The department also announced the "destruction of three hundred nationalists." At the same time, "about 250 militants and up to 25 units of armored and automotive vehicles were destroyed in Kharkov," the Defense Ministry adds.
On July 10, it was reported that 15 people were killed in a Russian missile attack on a five-story residential building in the town of Chasov Yar, Donetsk region. Later, the death toll rose to 18. According to the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration (OVA) Pavel Kirilenko, 24 people may be under the rubble, rescuers made contact with several people. Among them is a 9-year-old child.
