15 killed in Russian strike on apartment building in Chasovy Yar – head of Donetsk OVA

15 people were killed in a Russian missile attack on a five-story residential building in the city of Chasov Yar, Donetsk region, rescuers found them under the rubble today. This was announced by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration (OVA) Pavel Kirilenko in his Telegram channel.

“15 dead were found by rescuers under the rubble of a high-rise building in Chasovoy Yar, which the Russian invaders hit with rockets last night. Five people were saved."

He added that 24 people may be under the rubble, and rescuers have established contact with several people. Among them is a 9-year-old child.

Earlier, Kirilenko said that on the evening of July 9, the Russian military launched a missile attack from Hurricanes on a five-story building in Chasovoy Yar. According to him, two entrances to the house were completely destroyed. On the morning of July 10, 6 dead and 5 wounded were known.

Since the first day of the war, the Russian side has been claiming that it is only attacking the military infrastructure of Ukraine. However, the Ukrainian side regularly reports shelling of civilian objects. On July 3, the Russian military attacked Slovyansk. The mayor of the city, Vadim Lyakh, said that it was "the largest shelling of the city in recent times." According to him, there are many killed and wounded. The speaker of the Donetsk OVA, Tatiana Ignatchenko, said that at least 6 people were killed, and 15 others were injured.
