The court found the deputy head of Aeroflot Alexandrov guilty of embezzlement of 250 million rubles

The Gagarinsky Court of Moscow found guilty the deputy general director of Aeroflot, Vladimir Alexandrov, in the case of multi-million embezzlement, Interfax reports .

“The court established: Alexandrov and Davydova ... Slivko and Kibets each committed fraud by deceit, abusing trust,” the judge began to announce the guilty verdict.

As reported, during the debate of the parties, the prosecutor's office requested a sentence for each person involved in the case - Aleksandrov, the former head of the department for interaction with state authorities of this airline Tatyana Davydova, as well as for lawyers Alexander Slivko and Dina Kibets for 9 years in a penal colony.

As expected, later today the court will announce the terms for the defendants.

Aleksandrov, Slivko, Kibets and Davydova were arrested in October 2019 on charges under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale).

According to investigators, in 2016, on behalf of Aeroflot, Aleksandrov entered into four agreements with lawyers Slivko and Kibets to provide legal assistance and represent the interests of the airline in civil, arbitration and criminal cases. On the basis of forged acts prepared by lawyers on allegedly rendered services, Alexandrov and Davydova in 2016-2018 ensured the illegal transfer of 250.6 million rubles to the lawyers' accounts.

In 2017 Aleksandrov was awarded the Best Corporate Lawyer of 2017 award in the Reformer of the Year nomination.
