Germany will provide Ukraine with 1 billion euros for humanitarian and social expenses during martial law. The agreement on this grant was signed by Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko and Minister of Finance of Germany Christian Lindner, according to the website of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

The funds will be sent to Ukraine through the IMF administrative account mechanism. Marchenko noted that Ukraine hopes to receive funds in the near future.

Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has received long-term concessional loans from Germany totaling 300 million euros.
