According to Olga Kovitidi, member of the Federation Council from Crimea, three platforms were damaged during the impact: “The gas was dumped from the pipes. Mining has been temporarily suspended. There were no catastrophic consequences that could have happened.”

The “head” of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov , said that a total of 109 people were on the drilling rigs during the strike, 21 of them have already been evacuated. According to him, the strongest blow fell on the first tower: “There were 12 people there, five of them were injured, the search for the rest continues.”
