At least 2 trillion rubles will be invested in the next two years by the regions of Russia in the economy of the "DPR". This was announced during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) by Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed republic Vitaly Khotsenko, Interfax reports .
“Thanks to the Russian Federation, we have a fairly large consolidated budget, the development budget is about 100-150 billion rubles. Now all regions, in fact, are still additionally working on the territory of our republic and investing a lot of money in construction, there are essentially trillions,” Khotsenko said.
On May 9, the Russian authorities announced that streets would appear in several Russian regions that would bear the names of the military and politicians from the “DPR”. As three sources in the Russian Presidential Administration told Meduza, this is a plan from above: this is how they are trying to prepare Russians for joining the LDNR to Russia, which will entail large budget investments.
“It’s already difficult for people because of inflation in the country. So they will understand - we spend not on strangers, on our own. Through the names of the streets, such a common identity can be created, the division into “us” and “them” will be overcome, ”said the source of the publication.
