Germany resumes issuing tourist visas to Russians

Visa centers in Germany have resumed accepting documents from Russians.

“Through the visa service centers of VisaMetric, the acceptance of applications for the issuance of visas necessary for entering Germany for any purpose of travel is resumed. An appointment for an interview is made on the company's website," the portal of the republic's diplomatic missions in Russia said in a statement.

Due to high demand, delays are possible during the application and issuance of visas, diplomats say.

At the moment, payment of the consular fee is possible only in cash in rubles or by credit card issued in Germany.

As noted by Aviasales, you can apply for a visa without a certificate of vaccination with a Western vaccine, tests and “good reasons”. To enter Germany, you also do not need anything other than a passport and a visa. The restrictions were completely lifted on June 11. You can get to Germany with a change in Istanbul or Belgrade. There are no direct flights from Russia to the country.
